Ujaan Ganguly shares his experience from ‘Lokkhi Chhele’ shoot
Just like most of the movies from Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s Windows, Kaushik Ganguly’s upcoming ‘Lokkhi Chhele’ too has a very relevant social message and sheds light on the superstition and stigmas in rural India and Bengal. Shot mostly in the rural interiors of Purulia district, this film starring Kaushik’s son Ujaan in the lead follows the life of a young doctor who stood against social superstitions prevalent in the rural areas and is hell bent on bringing in a sea of changes among the villagers.
“Both of my films have their own challenges and comfort zones. In the first film, I was more on my own and forged new bonds on the sets. There’s a lot of comfort in anonymity and that’s what happened to me. Also, I was slightly more careful about how I was with the new people I came across,” explains Ujaan. Read More….
